Culture Creek Australia Pty Ltd

Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Culture Creek Australia Pty Ltd collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. We have written it in plain language rather than legal shorthand, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

Who we are

Culture Creek Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 43 691 939 769) provides cross-cultural training to healthcare, aged care and disability organisations across Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Culture Creek Australia Pty Ltd.

You can reach us at hello@culturecreek.com.au or by post at PO Box 105, Gatton QLD 4343.

What we collect

We collect your name and email address when you buy a course, when your employer enrols you, or when you contact us. If you use our online training we also record which lessons you have opened, your quiz answers and results, and the certificates issued to you.

When you buy something, your payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe passes us your name, email address, the amount paid and the GST recorded on the sale. We never see or store your full card number.

If you fill in one of our research surveys, we collect the answers you give. Those surveys run on Google Forms and are described on the page you complete them from.

When you visit the website we collect the ordinary technical information any website receives, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the site that referred you.

Why we collect it

We use your information to give you access to the training you or your employer has paid for, to issue your certificate, to answer your questions, to send you the emails that make the service work such as login links and receipts, and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.

We use survey responses to understand the experience of internationally trained clinicians and care workers in Australia, and to shape our training and writing. Where we publish findings, we publish them in aggregate and do not identify individuals.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.

Marketing

We may occasionally email customers about our own training and resources. Every such email includes a way to opt out, and opting out will never affect access to training you have already purchased. Login links, receipts, invoices and certificates are service messages rather than marketing, so you will continue to receive those while your access is current.

When your employer has bought your access

If an organisation buys course access for its staff, that organisation can ask us for completion information about the people it has paid for. This is normally limited to whether a person has started or completed a course and the date any certificate was issued. We do not share individual quiz answers with employers.

We mention this plainly because it matters: if your workplace enrolled you, your workplace can find out whether you finished.

Who else handles your information

We are a small business and we rely on established service providers to run the platform. Each of them handles only what they need to.

Stripe processes payments and issues receipts and tax invoices. Supabase stores your account, your course access and your progress. Resend delivers our emails. Cloudflare hosts the website and protects it from attack. Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics tell us how the site is being used. Google Forms collects survey responses. Adobe Fonts and Google Fonts deliver the typefaces the site is set in.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. By using the site you agree to that transfer. We choose providers that publish their security and privacy practices, but we cannot control the laws of every country their systems touch.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies and similar technology to keep you logged in and to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block the ones we use for login you will not be able to reach your courses.

Our analytics tell us things like which pages are read and how people arrive at the site. We use that to write better resources, not to build profiles of individuals.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your training records for as long as you have access, and afterwards for as long as we may need to reissue a certificate or answer a question about your training. Records connected to a sale are kept for at least five years, because Australian tax law requires it. Survey responses are kept for as long as the research is useful, in a form that does not identify you once the analysis is finished.

Keeping it safe

Access to your account is by a single-use link sent to your email address. We do not use passwords, which means there is no password of yours for anyone to steal or reuse. Information is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever occurred that was likely to cause you serious harm, we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and we will tell you, normally within 30 days and at no charge. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. If you want your account deleted, we will do that too, although we must keep the records connected to any sale for the period tax law requires, and deleting your account will end your access to any training you have paid for.

Write to hello@culturecreek.com.au for any of this.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information

Tell us first, at hello@culturecreek.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint within five business days and give you a considered answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or by phoning 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top will tell you when that last happened. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold about you, we will tell you by email.

Questions about any of this are welcome. Write to hello@culturecreek.com.au.
